OUR FOUNDER

Carolyn Feinstein, CFE

Starting off in the private sector with a well respected financial services firm in Cleveland, OH, Carolyn graduated summa cum laude with a degree in forensic accounting and became an ACFE Certified Fraud Examiner.

While working in conjunction with agencies such as the FBI, IRS, and State and local law enforcement, she has provided forensic accounting and litigation support services to counsel in a multitude of fraud investigations, examinations, audits, and business valuations, following the paper trails and helping to root out corruption.

Following her move to Los Angeles, CA she was appointed to the Department of Justice, Office of the US Trustee, as an analyst charged with protecting the integrity of the bankruptcy system, a position she enjoyed for many years. Her mission has always been to do the right thing, and help individuals and businesses with her expertise in the financial world.

As much as she enjoyed her work with the DOJ OUST, she had a strong desire to move back into the private sector. In 2013, she and her husband, Joshua, relocated to Austin, TX and TIXE Consulting was born.

OUR HISTORY

OUR HISTORY

TIXE Consulting was created to fill a unique niche in the forensic accounting industry. Government agencies, creditors, and interested parties have long tried to explain the financial reporting requests and requirements needed during an investigation. Having someone with the direct experience of speaking from the other side of the table is an invaluable resource to clarify the reasoning behind the requests, and the successful satisfaction of the requirements.

The story behind the name TIXE (pronounced tīks) stems from the going away dinner Carolyn and Joshua had on the penthouse level of the Beverly Hills, CA restaurant, Mastro's. Sitting and talking about what was to come, leaving Los Angeles for Austin, and their next great adventure, Carolyn noticed a reflection in the glass across the room. It was the exit sign, glowing red, but in the glass it read TIXE. Wanting to remember this special moment forever, she knew she had found her new company moniker.

The opposite of running from a problem, the term embodies the desire of people to face their challenges, rise above a bankruptcy, get through a divorce, mitigate a fraud, and regain control of their business and life.
